This year I’m taking fall to the extreme, but I have no regrets. That is one of my goals of being 40- living with no regrets.
A few Mondays ago, Emma and I went to Cottonwood Farms for some fun and to pick up the corn stalks for the front of our house. It’s a family tradition that I am happy to pass along. I love the way they look. We got out all our Halloween decor and also put up the other outdoor decor including Ghoulie the blow up ghost and Gary a ghost we hang from the tree that happens to be the cousin to my parent’s ghost George.
Have you checked out my free printables on Pinterest? I used the above photo to make this one!
We rented a campfire site at Anderson Farms two Friday nights ago with my fab five mamas, husbands and kiddos. It was the perfect weather for it. It also turned out since it is a month out from Halloween, only five campfire sites were booked. It was actually nice to have the space to ourselves. The kids didn’t have to wait in line to do any of the rides and activities. We cooked hot dogs and brats on the fire and finished with S’mores for desert. Emma didn’t want to leave, but was asleep a minute down the road.
AJ went to Hawaii for his annual Ironman work trip. Emma and I went to Chicago and Lake Geneva for a week. Here are some highlights of our trip to Sonny Acres and Downtown Chicago.
Friday, we headed to my parents”lake house” as Emma calls it in Abby Springs near Lake Geneva. We caught up with Maggie- Emma’s bestie that moved back to Wisconsin from Colorado last October.
We played by the water, at the park and went to a horse show. The highlight was the haunted hayride at the Grand Geneva.
Thursday night we head to Cali for Mickey’s Halloween Party and to Knott’s Berry Farms for the 50th Anniversary of Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. After that, life slows down a bit! Phew…….
